FIGURA PITTORICA
Mi sono accostato alla figura da autodidatta soprattutto
per esercitarmi nel disegno. Quasi con spirito
precauzionale, nel caso in cui la padronanza grafica
mi fosse servita in un futuro anche nella pittura.
Non ho però mai sentito il bisogno di servirmi di tale
strumento in maniera propositiva nelle mie ricerche.
Ero troppo legato alla passione per il paesaggio, per il
dipingere all’aria aperta in libertà totale e vicino alla
natura. La visione paesaggistica mi dava la possibilità
di scoprire sempre più da vicino i soggetti che la mia
curiosità tentava di decifrare: gli alberi, i muri, i fossi,
l’acqua, l’erba, la terra. E poi penetrando sempre più
all’interno di quelle realtà, studiando sotto le cortecce
degli alberi morti il mondo misterioso delle cavità.
Quella era l’autentica dimensione per la mia formazione
artistica: forse è anche per questo motivo che le
poche figure che ho voluto proporre risultano sempre
ambientate nella natura.
FIGURE IN PAINTING
I started working on the figure as a self-taught, mainly
to practice my drawing. I did it as a precaution, in
case drawing would be useful in the future, even for
painting. I never needed it for my researches, though.
I was too attached to my passion for the landscape
and for painting outside, completely free and close to
nature. My landscape-vision gave me the possibility
to discover the objects that my curiosity was trying to
decipher: trees, walls, moats, water, grass, earth. And
then I would enter those realities always more deeply,
studying the mysterious world of the cavities under
the barks of dead trees. That was the right place for
my artistic growth: maybe this is one of the reasons
why the pictures I decided to show are set in nature.
