In 2002 RadiciGroup began a training programme at its
Tröglitz production site. The initiative is co-fi nanced by the
national government and regional authority and involves from
70 to 75 local secondary-school students. During the threeyear
programme, the students have the opportunity to work
for a fi rm and receive a monthly salary. Their training contract
is recognized as a regular employment contract and is subject
to German law on the workplace.
Training at our chemical plant is managed jointly with QFC
(Qualifi zierungs Förderwerk Chemie GmbH), which is responsible
for directly managing the students and organizing their
three-year course. Some students are transferred to other
companies in the area. At the end of each year, the local

Chamber of Commerce issues diplomas - equivalent to national
diplomas - and gives awards to the best students. The
students work for the company as chemical operators, laboratory
analysts, mechanics and offi ce clerks. At the end of the
training programme, some students are hired as regular employees.
We are very satisfi ed with the training experience that these
students have had at our site every year. Some of them have
achieved excellent results and have received awards from the
Chamber of Commerce. The training programme is a period of
development and new experiences. The young Germans who
join the work world for the fi rst time also receive a salary and
this enables them to be self-suffi cient and learn at their best.
