“Aprender a Crescer em
Paranhos” – projecto em parceria
com a Junta de Freguesia
A Universidade Fernando Pessoa promove, ao longo do ano
lectivo de 2010-11, em parceria com a Junta de Freguesia de
Paranhos, um projecto de extensão comunitária no âmbito da
promoção da saúde.
Neste projecto, implementado em escolas do 1º Ciclo do Ensino
Básico, têm-se desenvolvido actividades de (in)formação e
sensibilização nas áreas de violência, cidadania, educação afectiva
e consumos nocivos, consideradas como prioritárias pelo
Programa Nacional de Saúde Escolar, da responsabilidade da
Direcção Geral da Saúde. E contemplou já uma sessão aberta à
comunidade educativa, abordando temas como problemas de
comportamento, divórcio e consumo de álcool.
Este Projecto nasce da importância da integração dos alunos
do 1º e 2º Ciclos de Estudos em Psicologia e Serviço Social em
trabalhos de extensão comunitária que lhes permitam aperfeiçoar
competências profissionais e desenvolver um sentido de
responsabilidade social, promovendo o conhecimento e o respeito
por diferentes realidades, contextos e populações.
O trabalho desenvolvido conta com a orientação de docentes
das áreas da Psicologia e do Serviço Social da UFP.
UFP colabora com Espaço t
O Núcleo de Investigação em Saúde, Ambiente e Qualidade
de Vida (NISA) do CECLICO – UFP, desenvolveu uma parceria
de trabalho e investigação com a ONG “Espaço t”, no âmbito
do projecto promovido por esta associação, denominado “+
Saúde 2010”.
Neste projecto participou a quase totalidade dos membros do
NISA, em áreas científicas ligadas à saúde oral, à nutrição, à psicologia
e às ciências sociais. O Objectivo era fornecer, a crianças
que frequentam escolas do 1.º ciclo, no centro do Porto e às
respectivas famílias, informação teórica e prática sobre hábitos
de prevenção sanitária e de saúde pública. A adesão das crianças
às acções educativas foi notória e de grande participação.

“Learning to Grow in Paranhos”
– project in partnership with the
Parish Council
Throughout the 2010-11 academic year, University Fernando Pessoa
is organising a community outreach project in the field of health
promotion, in partnership with the Parish Council of Paranhos.
This project, implemented in 1st Cycle of Basic Education schools,
involves information, training and awareness activities in the areas
of violence, citizenship, emotional education and harmful forms
of consumption, considered priorities by the National School
Health Programme, which is the responsibility of the Directorate
General of Health. A session open to the education community
has already been held, addressing topics such as problems of
behaviour, divorce and the consumption of alcohol.
This Project emerged from perception of the importance of inte-
grating 1st and 2nd cycle Psychology and Social Welfare students
into community outreach work that can help them improve professional
skills and develop a sense of social responsibility, while
promoting knowledge and respect for different realities, contexts
and populations.
The work carried out is supervised by UFP teaching staff from the
areas of Psychology and Social Welfare.
UFP collaborates with Espaço t
The Health, Environment and Quality of Life of Research Centre
(NISA) at CECLICO – UFP has developed a work and research
partnership with the NGO “Espaço t”, within the framework of the
project organised by that association, entitled “+ Health 2010”.
This project involves almost all the members of NISA, in scientific
areas associated with oral health, nutrition, psychology and social
sciences. The Objective was to provide children at 1st cycle
schools in the centre of Porto and their families with theoretical
and practical information on health prevention habits and public
health. The children’s participation in the educational initiatives
was significant and enthusiastic.
