magine que muito perto daqui existe um paraíso
natural. E que nesse local de conto de fadas se
escondem cachoeiras e muita natureza para ser
explorada, mas ao mesmo tempo conta com restaurantes
e lojas desde decoração a vestuário. Não, não é sonho,
assim é Campo Alegre (SC) que vem despontando, há
alguns anos, como o destino ideal para as escapadas
de final de semana dos habitantes das grandes cidades
próximas, como São Bento do Sul (SC), Joinville (SC) e
Curitiba (PR). Situada no topo da belíssima Serra Dona
Francisca, a cidade fica a um pouco mais de 100 km
(quilômetros) da capital paranaense e possui um clima
agradável e muitos atrativos naturais.
Foi lá que o casal de empresários e turismólogos
joinvilenses Helio e Nazilda Kalbusch escolheram para
dar vida a um sonho antigo: viver a aposentadoria em
uma casa de campo em um local tranquilo. O sítio que no
começo era um refúgio para as férias e finais de semana
da família, transformou-se recentemente no mais novo
empreendimento hoteleiro da região, o Refúgio Monte
Olimpo. “A proposta é prover um refúgio onde os clientes
encontrem paz e tranquilidade, sem recreação, atrativos
de hotel fazenda, para que enfim, possam aproveitar o

And in this fairy tale location, hide waterfalls and
plenty of nature’s splendors to be exploited, but at the
same time, there are restaurants and shops from garments
to decoration. No, it is not a dream, this is how Campo
Alegre (SC) revealed itself a few years ago as the ideal
destination for weekend escapes to the inhabitants of large
nearby cities, such as São Bento do Sul (SC), Joinville (SC)
and Curitiba (PR). It is situated at the top of the beautiful
Dona Francisca coastal mountains, in a town which lies
some 100 km from the capital of Paraná and with a pleasant
climate and many natural attractions.
It was there that a couple of businessmen in tourism
from Joinville, Helio and Nazilda Kalbusch, chose to give
life to an old dream: to live their retirement in a country
home in a quiet location. The place that in the beginning
was a refuge for family holidays and weekends, recently
became the newest hotel development in the region, the
Refúgio Monte Olimpo. “The proposal is to provide a haven
where guests can find peace and tranquility, without
recreation, the attractions of a country inn, so in the end,
they can take advantage of the tourism available in the
regional cities and the country air and bucolic delights,”
