epois de anos sofrendo com um sistema burocrático
que corroeu a competitividade do setor
florestal no Rio Grande do Sul, Estado que já
ostentou a maior área plantada do Brasil, a atividade
volta a crescer amparada por legislação que confere
segurança jurídica aos empreendimentos. Ainda existe um
caminho a percorrer para ajustar alguns pontos, mas o fato é
que os empresários estão otimistas com os avanços e preveem
uma série de investimentos que se iniciam já neste ano. Para
Diogo Carlos Leuck, presidente da Ageflor, haverá crescimento
importante para o segmento, que estava reprimido.

fter years of suffering from a bureaucratic system
that eroded the competitiveness of the Forest
Sector in the State of Rio Grande do Sul, which
once boasted the largest planted forest area in
Brazil, the activity returns to growth backed by legislation that
provides legal certainty to enterprises. There is still a way to go
to adjust some points, but the fact is that business is optimistic
about the advances and are forecasting a series of investments
that have already stared to be made this year. For Diogo Carlos
Leuck, President of Ageflor, this signals that there will be major
growth for the segment, which in the past has been stifled.
