a peça.
do sistema.
a abrasão.
importante: a satisfação do cliente. Viviane Biesek, assistente
produzimos”, afirma Viviane.
imported from Italy, is currently produced in Brazil. This transmission
box works with free spin; therefore, when the equipment
is turned off the rotor continues to rotate only with the inertia
of the movement itself, restricting the possibility of damage by
sudden stops. The gears are cut according to Gleason Coniflex
system technology which ensure quiet and highly resistant
gearing. Special steel alloys are used and heat treated by cementation.
The transmission itself, on the other hand, works with
high-strength Predator pulleys and belts from the Gates Corporation
that ensure greater durability and performance while in
operation. In this way, the entire transmission line encompassing
smoother gears, drive shaft, and belt transmission reduces the
heat generated by friction thus extending the Thor useful life.
The Thor rotor is a key element for machine efficiency. Diego
Neumann, Design Coordinator for Watanabe, reinforces the
importance of choosing a heavier material for the part. “The
rotor wall is 35 mm thick, which increases its mass and, due
to inertia, greatly facilitates the work of the machine,” Design
Coordinator Neumann points out. The rotor is supported by
self-compensating bearings, leading to better system rotation.
This thick and heavy rotor, combined with the free spin system,
compensates for the required effort of the tractor engine and
collaborates with Thor’s final process goal. Coupled to the rotor
are the grinding tools, hard metal for stones and special alloy
steel for forest residues. Its biggest differential is that in case of
damage or wear, they can be easily turn using the other face
or replaced with new parts, so that the Thor is down as little
as possible.
The entire Thor internal structure has hard electrode welds,
which make the equipment much more resistant to impact and
abrasion. The most damageable areas are made with stronger
metal plates and feature anti-abrasive coating, which can be
reinforced and replaced when damaged. Design Coordinator
Neumann sums up some of Thor’s features directly. “It is robustness
with a goal,” he says.
