Technical Visit
On September 3rd there was a technical visit at Voith in São
Paulo, where the company was introduced to the participants of the
meeting. The visit also included a tour around the turbine production
line of the company.
Technical Session
The 6th meeting received about 20 technical articles out of
which 15 were approved by the evaluating committee of the session.
The themes were: Financial Analysis, Legal and Institutional Aspects,
Energy Market and Planning, Environment, Social Responsibility
and Sustainable Development, Technology and Development:
a) Hydro-mechanical Components Hidromecânicos; b) Electrical
and Mechanical Components; c) Hydraulic Structures; d) Control
Systems; e) Substation and Transmission; f) Field Data Collection;
g) Geotechnology and Geology; and h) Monitoring; Operation
and Maintenance, Hybrid Systems, Decentralized Generation and
Isolated Systems.
The session was coordinated by Professor Regina Mambeli
Barros, PhD from the Institute of Natural Resources of the Federal
University of Itajubá (Unifei).

EVENTS
Some of the papers presented during the meeting are published
in the technical session of this magazine.
2nd EXPOPCH
It was he second time this event took place. EXPOPCH is an
open exhibition of equipment, technologies, products and services
regarding the implementation and management of SHPs.
The exhibition aims at integrating the manufacturers and the
agents of the sector in order to disseminate new technologies and
promote possible deals.
Companies such as Voith Hydro, Alstom, Grupo Energisa,
Furnas, Andritz Hydro, Semi, Aproer, Areva Koblitz, CAF, CAPES,
Hidromarc, Automatic, Hacker, Metrum, Renkzanini, Equacional,
Água&Solo, ABB, Brevil, Metálica 3D, EngeSat, Demuth, Surface,
Zebron, Vortex, Automatronic, Geomensura, Siemens, Mecamidi
and Grameyer participated in EXPOPCH.
Trading
The trading round was carried out at the end of the first day of
the event and several companies of the sector participated, aiming
at providing a first contact between consuming companies and
companies that provide solutions for SHP. Brazilian and foreign
companies participated in the event.
The 7th Meeting on SHP Market and the Environment will be held in São Paulo in 2011.
The most important professional of the sector, government representatives, NGOs and the private sector participate in
the event.
