on the condition of the cardiovascular system. If it is severely ill, the simptomatology might appears at
some certain reduced degrees of the anemia. The specific features of different types of anemias are
hemochromatosis in thalassemia major and vasoocclusive crises in sickle cell anemia. A particular
importance for the cardiologist and for the hematologist too has the intravascular hemolysis. In the
myeloproliferative syndromes the arterial or venous thromboses are allways seen and the particular
feature is the marantic endocarditis. The heart’s involvement in hematologic malignancies is frequently,
directly, with every structures of the heart beeing affected (pericardium, myocardium, endocardium).
Some times the most important parts are the secondary effects of the CT or RT. With a great importance
are the thrombofilic disorders and the antiphospholipid antibodies syndrome belongs to them. This might
be a primary condition or a secondary one, like in autoimune deaseses such as systemic lupus
erytematosus. The venous or arterial thromboses are common, thus lifelong anticoagulation is needed. As
a conclusion, the follow-up of the optimal treatment for the hematologic deaseses needs a tide
colaboration between the cardiologist and the hematologist.
