In this context, the first step was taken on April 9, 2021.
With the unanimous decision of our Board of Directors, the
education cooperation memorandum was implemented
with one of the world’s largest technology companies
in the field of radiation oncology. The first phase of this
cooperation covers India, the Middle East and all African
countries; the second phase is planned to cover the regions
of Asia, Pacific, Japan and Australia.”
The first training was carried out in Nigeria
Noting that TROD has the opportunity to represent our
country in an area covering more than half of the world’s
surface area with the current memorandum, Özyiğit said,
“The education and information activities we will do in this
region are also a social responsibility project. In this great
geography where 70% of cancer deaths occur, millions of
lives that we will touch directly or indirectly as TROD is
a very lofty duty for us. In this context, we held our first
training course with Nigeria, where cervical cancer is a
big problem, on Saturday, April 10, 2021. We started our
journey with this course, which the International Atomic
Energy Agency officials also watched with interest. TROD is
now determined and bent on to be a power center not only
nationally but also internationally.”

planlamaktadır.” dedi.
İlk eğitim Nijerya ile gerçekleştirildi
TROD’un mevcut memorandumla dünya yüzölçümünün
yarısından fazlasını kapsayan bir alanda ülkemizi temsil
etme olanağına kavuştuğuna dikkat çeken Özyiğit, “Bu
bölgede yapacağımız eğitim ve bilgilendirme faaliyetleri
aynı zamanda bir sosyal sorumluluk projesidir. Kanser
ölümlerinin %70’nin gerçekleştiği bu büyük coğrafyada
TROD olarak doğrudan veya dolaylı olarak dokunacağımız
milyonlarca yaşam, bizler için çok ulvi bir vazifedir. Bu
bağlamda ilk eğitim kursumuzu, serviks kanserinin büyük
bir problem olduğu Nijerya ile 10 Nisan 2021 Cumartesi
günü gerçekleştirdik. Uluslararası Atom Enerjisi Ajansı
yetkililerinin de ilgi ile izlediği bu kurs ile yolculuğumuza
başladık. TROD artık sadece ulusal değil uluslararası
alanda da bir güç odağı olma kararlığı ve azmindedir.” diye
belirtti.
