In a statement; The Arab Network calls on states to
implement their obligations in the face of the Israeli
occupation’s violations of international law
The Arab Network for National
Human Rights Institutions (AN-
NHRI) asserted its position rejecting
the normalization of relations
by some Arab countries with the
occupying state at the expense of
the legitimate rights of the Palestinian
people, and at the same
time stressed the need for all
countries - especially Arab countries
- to take punitive measures
against the grave breaches of
international law that Israel commits
in the occupied Arab territories,
and the Arabic Network said
in a press release. In a press
release, ANNHRI said, "Support
for the Palestinian people and
their cause shall be through pressure
on the occupying state to
accept and implement international
legitimacy decisions."
The statement
The Arab Network for National
Human Rights Institutions
(ANNHRI) affirms its principled,
steadfast and supportive position
for the legitimate rights of the
Palestinian Arab people, foremost
of which is their right to self-determination
and, according to the
relevant United Nations resolutions,
to have its independent
state established on the 4 June
1967 border with East Jerusalem
as its capital.
The Network believes that the
inalienable Palestinian rights are
not subject to the policies of
states whose relations and bilateral
agreements governed by mutual
interests. In this context, the
Network rejects the normalization
of the relations of some Arab
countries with the occupation
state at the expense of the legitimate
rights of the Palestinian
people, and stresses at the same
time the need for all states, especially
the Arab countries, to take
punitive measures against the
grave breaches of international
law that Israel commits in the
occupied Arab territories, and
that the support of the Palestinian
people and their cause shall be
through pressure on the occupying
state to accept and implement
international legitimacy
decisions.
