§ 12.<br />
Veterinary Surgeons are entitled to the sum of 4 Kroner <strong>for</strong> each day<br />
they are employed on business in the public service, and in the event of<br />
having to travel, an allowance <strong>for</strong> posting according to the law relative to the<br />
conveyance of travellers. For the dissection of a horse, or bovine animal, they<br />
shall besides be entitled to 6 Kroner ; <strong>for</strong> an animal of a smaller species,<br />
3 Kroner, but shall not be entitled to a sum exceeding 20 Kroner <strong>for</strong> dissections<br />
per<strong>for</strong>med during the course of one day. Veterinary Surgeons are not entitled<br />
to any separate payment <strong>for</strong> reports, business in connection with dissections, or<br />
certificates issued in connection with public duties. The posting expenses shall<br />
be paid by the Treasury, the other expenses, due to the veterinary surgeon<br />
acc ording to the above mentioned scale, shall be paid by the Local County<br />
Board, or the Boards of the borough, or town concerned, provided the latter<br />
has its own Local Board.<br />
§ 13.<br />
A District Head Constable is entitled to remuneration, in accordance with<br />
§ 110 of the Law relative to Fees and Awards, <strong>for</strong> journeys undertaken in<br />
connection with appraisements as mentioned in § 5. For other journeys undertaken<br />
in connection with malignant contagious disease in d<strong>om</strong>estic animals<br />
the District Head Constable is entitled to the ordinary posting charges, to be<br />
paid by the Treasury, provided the distance travelled (out and h<strong>om</strong>e) has been<br />
at least 6 Kil<strong>om</strong>ètres. The maintenance allowance to which such District<br />
Head Constable is entitled shall be paid by the County Authorities. Should<br />
the assistance of the District Head Constable have been required to any great<br />
extent, in order to disprove the existence of any of the diseases treated of in<br />
this Law, the King may award him besides, a rec<strong>om</strong>pense <strong>for</strong> such service<br />
fr<strong>om</strong> the funds of the Treasury.<br />
§ 14.<br />
The Law of the 27th February 1866, concerning measures to be adopted<br />
in respect to malignant contagious diseases amongst d<strong>om</strong>estic animals, and<br />
the Law of the 26th May 1877, containing amendements to the first named<br />
Law, are hereby cancelled.
