Do any of your guys have any credentials? Tolkien was a big-shot professor, and he only got one or
two words in the Oxford English Dictionary. What makes you guys so special?
Peter (290296) prøvede i sit svar at mildne tonen ved endnu engang at bruge humoren:
Well, *they* may not have credentials, but I got my Tolkien secret decoder ring from a box of breakfast
cereal, and I passed the hobbit-backseat-driver test when I was a kid.
So, I think that pretty much qualifies me for any serious discussion.
Dette forsøg på at tilføre sprogkrigen lidt lethed og indirekte minde både Jason og Donald om
nyhedsgruppens egalitære konstruktion lykkedes ikke, og fronterne blev trukket hårdere op i løbet

Mr. Allman, I have tried. I was hoping at the beginning of this that you migth find a way to fit into this
newsgroup, and that you, as well as the rest of us, would benefit from the association. I still hope that.
