torradindustrie mehr und mehr in die Krise.<br />
In der Zeit des deutschen Wirtschaftswunders<br />
waren die Kunden bestrebt, vom Zweirad<br />
auf ein Automobil umzusteigen, und sei<br />
es auch noch so klein. Auch bei der Auto Union<br />
GmbH in Ingolstadt war der Absatz der<br />
einstm<strong>als</strong> so beliebten DKW Zweitakt-Motorräder<br />
zusammengebrochen. Anfang Oktober<br />
1958 wurde die komplette Zweiradfertigung<br />
an die Zweirad Union (Victoria und Express)<br />

Auf der 2. Internationalen Fahrrad- und Motorrad<br />
Ausstellung (IFMA) im Oktober 1953<br />
stellte NSU den Nachfolger der erfolgreichen<br />
NSU Quick vor. Die steuer-, zulassungs- und<br />
führerscheinfreie 50 ccm NSU Quickly leistete<br />
1,4 PS, gut für eine Höchstgeschwindigkeit<br />
