archive of the <strong>Arsenal</strong> show this era from a perspective<br />
that was critical of the system and aesthetically<br />

documentaries like OCAÑA, RETRAT IN-<br />
TERMITENT about the Andalusian painter, performance<br />
artist and transvestite Pepe Ocaña and<br />
the underground hit SHIRLEY TEMPLE STORY,<br />
Antoni Padrós’ almost four-hour-long, wild and<br />
musical grotesque drama represent the subcultural<br />
side of the “transición”. Eine Kooperation<br />
mit dem Bundesverband kommunale Filmarbeit<br />
e.V. und dem Instituto Cervantes Berlin.<br />
Engaging cinema and re-viewing collective<br />
practices Nicole Wolf, Nanna Heidenreich<br />
Engaging cinema … befragt unsere Beziehung zu<br />
vergangenen film-politischen Projekten, Möglichkeiten,<br />
diese neu zu projizieren, zu sehen<br />
und in neue geopolitische und kinematografische<br />
Netzwerke zu stellen. KYA HUA IS SHAHAR<br />
KO? (What Has Happened to this City?, Deepa<br />
Dhanraj) wird als DVD mit recherchiertem Zusatzmaterial<br />
vorgestellt (19.6., zu Gast: Deepa<br />
Dhanraj). Die feministischen Arbeiten des Filmkollektivs<br />
Yugantar (1980–83, Indien) bilden den<br />
Ausgangspunkt für ein offenes Seminar (20.–<br />
21.6. | KW) zu kollektiven film-politischen Projekten.<br />

Cinenova (Karolin Meunier, Sandra Schäfer,<br />
Kerstin Schroedinger), cinéma copains (Minze<br />
Tummescheidt, Arne Hector), Manuela Schininá<br />
und Madeleine Bernstorff. A seminar on collective<br />
practices in political film production, initiated<br />
by the Indian collective Yugantar’s work,<br />
plus a presentation of the newly published DVD<br />
