What was once reserved for the classical hero is now conceded to sports: to create a legend
or a myth. Only exceptional achievements and the height of concentration create
successes that are never forgotten. Even today, almost 60 years later, the soccer “Miracle
of Bern” is remembered – as is Halla, who carried her rider Hans Günter Winkler in 1956
to a World Championship win. Athletes such as Muhammad Ali remain unforgettable,
as are Jesse Owens, Pelé, Steffi Graf or Michael “Air” Jordan. The world of championship
sports is the World of the Rolex Grand Slam. Three of the most prestigious and famous
Equestrian Sport Venues in the world have joined together to combine not only more
than 5.7 million Euro prize money, but also 1.000 accredited journalists, 700.000 spectators
and more than 200 years of Equestrian Sport History. Legends can grow out of
these traditions. If one rider wins the final Grand Prix at each of the three tournaments,
one after the other, he/she wins the Rolex Grand Slam, and with that an extra one million
Euros in prize money. However, a win in the Rolex Grand Slam is far more. It will make
the rider legendary.

Legende, einen Mythos zu erschaffen. Nur außergewöhnliche Leistungen und höchste
Konzentration schaffen Erfolge, die unvergessen bleiben. Noch heute, bald 60 Jahre
später, ist das „Wunder von Bern“ in der Erinnerung – wie auch Halla, die ihren Reiter
Hans Günter Winkler 1956 zum WM-Sieg trägt. Als Sportler ist Muhammad Ali unvergessen
ebenso wie Jesse Owens, Pelé, Steffi Graf oder Michael „Air“ Jordan. Diese Welt des
großen Sports ist die Welt des Rolex Grand Slam. Drei der prestigeträchtigsten und renommiertesten
Sportveranstaltungen der Welt haben sich zusammengeschlossen und
vereinen nicht nur mehr als 5,7 Millionen Euro Preisgeld, sondern auch 1000 akkreditierte
Journalisten, 700.000 Zuschauer und mehr als 200 Jahre Pferdesportgeschichte.
Aus dieser Tradition können Legenden erwachsen. Gelingt es einem Reiter, bei den drei
Turnieren hintereinander den abschließenden Grand Prix zu gewinnen, gewinnt er den
Rolex Grand Slam. Und damit eine Million Euro zusätzlich zum Preisgeld. Doch der Sieg
im Rolex Grand Slam ist viel mehr. Er macht den Reiter unvergessen.
The system of the Rolex Grand Slam is simple: Anyone, who wins three shows in a row,
receives 1 million Euros on top of the prize-money of each show. Moreover, anyone who
wins two out of the three shows, also receives a bonus. If two shows are won in succession,
the bonus is 500.000 Euros. If the rider is successful in qualifying for the “two out of
three mode”, but doesn’t claim the victories at two consecutive shows, the bonus total
250.000 Euros. It is only the rider that counts, not the horse. It is possible to claim the
bonus riding different horses. This system is infinite, it is not limited to a calendar year.
It is a never ending story.
Das System des Rolex Grand Slam ist simpel: Wer drei Turniere hintereinander gewinnt,
erhält 1 Million Euro zusätzlich zum Preisgeld. Auch wer zwei von drei Turnieren gewinnt,
erhält einen Bonus. Werden die Turniere hintereinander gewonnen, beträgt der
Bonus 500.000 Euro. Ist der Sportler nach dem „two out of three-Modus“ erfolgreich,
aber eben nicht bei zwei aufeinanderfolgenden Turnieren, beträgt der Bonus 250.000
Euro. Es zählt stets der Reiter, nicht das Pferd. Der Gewinn des Bonus ist also auch auf
unterschiedlichen Pferden möglich. Dieses System hat keinen Endpunkt, ist also losgelöst
vom Kalenderjahr. Eine unendliche Geschichte.
