Horní hrad - Hauenštejn
Údolí řeky Ohře je díky své malebnosti často vyhledávaným
turistickým cílem. Pokud zvedneme
pohled od říční hladiny k obzoru, najdeme ve
zvlněném terénu podél údolí mnoho zajímavých
míst. Jedním z nich je bezesporu Horní hrad –
Hauenštejn. Hrad byl postaven na čedičovém ostrohu
nad údolím Ohře v druhé polovině 13. století.
Vznikl pravděpodobně jako součást královských
pohraničních opěrných bodů. V průběhu
staletí vystřídal mnoho majitelů, mezi významné
vlastníky patřili Lucemburkové, Šlikové či Sasko-
Lauenburští. V polovině 19. století, za vlastnictví
Gabriely Buquoy-Longueval, začíná rozsáhlá přestavba
strohého strážního hradu na novogotický
zámek v anglickém stylu. Rekonstrukce zasáhla
i bezprostřední okolí, které bylo upraveno do romanticky
laděného parku s kaskádami rybníčků
a kamennými můstky přes protékající potok. Rod
Buquoyů vlastnil Hauenštejn až do konce druhé
světové války, kdy byl zkonfiskován a předán do
státní správy. Hrad byl postupně používán jako
ubytovna Jáchymovských dolů a dětský domov.
Od roku 1958 byl Hauenštejn opuštěn a nechán
napospas vandalům a horskému klimatu. Teprve
v roce 2000 přechází zubožený zámek do soukromého
vlastnictví a okamžitě začínají záchranné
činnosti. Už v roce 2002 byla slavnostně otevřena
zrekonstruovaná gotická věž s rozhlednou.
Postoupila i další obnova hradu a regenerace
hornohradského údolí. V současné době si na
Horním hradě můžete prohlédnout celý areál
středověkého sídla, pokochat se překrásnou vyhlídkou
z hradní věže na okolní krajinu, navštívit
některou z mnoha kulturních akcí, ochutnat místní
medovinu nebo se zúčastnit noční prohlídky
hradu při osvětlení loučemi.

Das Egertal ist dank seines malerischen Aussehens
oft aufgesuchtes Reiseziel. Wenn man den Blick von
der Flussoberfläche nach oben hebt, findet man in
der hügeligen Landschaft entlang des Tals viele interessante
Orte. Einer von ihnen ist zweifellos
Hauenstein. Die Burg wurde an einer Basaltlandzunge
über dem Egertal in der zweiten Hälfte des 13.
Jahrhunderts erbaut. Sie entstand wahrscheinlich als
ein Teil der königlichen Grenzstützpunkte. Im Laufe
der Jahrhunderte wechselte sie viele Besitzer, zu den
bedeutenden Eigentümern gehörten die Adelsfamilien
Luxemburg, Schlick oder Sachsen-Lauenburg. In der
Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts, während der Herrschaft
von Gabriela Buquoy-Longueval, beginnt ein umfangreicher
Umbau der schlichten Wachburg zu einem
neugotischen Schloss im englischen Stil. Auch die
nahe Umgebung wurde in einen romantischen Park
mit Teichkaskaden und steinernen Brücken über den
durchfließenden Bach umgebildet. Das Geschlecht
Buquoy besaß die Burg Hauenstein bis Ende des
zweiten Weltkriegs, als sie enteignet und dem Staat
übergeben wurde. Die Burg wurde zuerst als
Herberge der Joachimsthaler Bergwerke und dann
als Kinderheim genutzt. Seit dem Jahre 1958 war
Hauenstein verlassen und den Wandalen und dem
Gebirgsklima hinterlassen. Erst im Jahre 2000
kommt das verkommene Schloss in Privatbesitz und
sofort beginnen Rettungsarbeiten. Bereits im Jahre
2002 wurde der wieder hergerichtete gotische Turm
mit Aussicht feierlich geöffnet. Es schritt auch die
weitere Burgherrichtung und Erneuerung des
Hauensteiner Tals fort. Zur Zeit kann man auf
Hauenstein das gesamte mittelalterliche Burggelände
besichtigen, sich an wunderschöner Aussicht vom
Burgturm in die Umgebung ergötzen, eine der zahlreichen
Kulturveranstaltungen besuchen, hiesigen

Nacht bei Fackellicht teilnehmen.

The valley of the Ohře River is popular with tourists
thanks to its picturesqueness. If you raise your
eyes from the river, you will see a number of interesting
places in the rolling countryside. One of
them is undoubtedly the castle Horní hrad –
Hauenštejn. The castle was built on a piece of
basalt rock towering over the Ohře valley in the
second half of the 13th century. It was probably
one of royal strategic points on the border. The
castle had a lot of owners in the course of centuries,
such as the Luxemburg family, the Schlick family
or the Saxon-Lauenberg family. An extensive
conversion of the severe guard castle into a neogothic
chateau in the English style started in the
middle of the 19th century when it was possessed
by Gabriela Buquoy-Longueval. The renovation
included the close surroundings of the castle
which was changed into a romantic park with
cascades of ponds and stone bridges across a brook
flowing through it. The Buquoy family owned
the castle until the end of World War II, and then
it was confiscated and got under state administration.
At first the castle was used as a dormitory of
the Mines of Jáchymov company and then as
a children‘s home. From 1958 Hauenštejn was
abandoned and left at the mercy of vandals and
mountain climate. It was only in 2000 that the
dilapidated castle became private property. Salvage
operations started immediately thereafter.
The renovated gothic tower with a viewing tower
was opened as early as 2002. Further renovation
of the castle and the whole valley of Horní hrad
has advanced as well. At present you can see the
whole grounds of the medieval seat, enjoy the
wonderful view of the countryside from the castle
tower, visit some of numerous cultural events,
taste local mead or take part in the night tour
round the castle by pine torch light.
