Im Westen wie im Fernen Osten steht der Löwe mit seiner üppigen<br />
Mähne und muskulösen Statur für Kraft und Macht. Seit jeher gilt<br />
er den Christen als Königstier und ziert so manches Wappen. Im<br />
Buddhismus wird Buddha, der weise Hüter des Kosmos, häufig auf<br />
einem Löwenthron dargestellt und soll die Gesetze des rechten<br />
Lebens mit einem Brüllen verkündet haben. Löwen symbolisieren<br />
in der asiatischen Kultur Wächter und Beschützer, die Dämonen<br />
und böse Geister vertreiben und deshalb bis heute vor manchem<br />
Ahnenschrein, Tempel oder Hauseingang stehen. Dabei war einst<br />
