Der Weg führt als erstes an der 60 Meter hohen Lucendro-Staumauer vorbei.
Der Lucendrostausee gehört zu einer Vielzahl von Wasser-Reservoiren
im Gotthardmassiv – rund sieben Prozent der für die Energiegewinnung
bedeutenden Wasservor räte Europas lagern hier. Danach biegt der Pfad nach
rechts ab, hoch zur Quelle der Reuss, die sich als unscheinbares Bergseelein
zeigt. Über den Lucendropass geht es hinunter zur Alp Rosso di Fuori und
weiter über den aussichtsreichen Höhenweg oberhalb des Tessiner Bedrettotals.
Nach dem Naturerlebnis am Fusse des Pizzo Rotondo wartet die
komfortable Piansecco-Hütte.
FROM THE GOTTHARD PASS TO THE SOURCE OF THE REUSS RIVER
The path initially leads past the 60-metre-high Lucendro dam. The Lucendrostausee
is one of many water reservoirs in the Gotthard massif – around seven
percent of the main energy-producing water reserves in Europe are located
here. Afterwards, the path turns right up to the source of the Reuss river, which
turns out to be an unlikely small mountain lake. Across the Lucendro Pass, the
route leads down to the Rosso di Fuori Alp and on across the high route above
the Bedretto valley in Ticino with its beautiful views. After a day of outdoor
adventure, the cosy Piansecco Hut awaits at the foot of the Pizzo Rotondo.
