noise figure less than 4.5 dB. The transmit
path (PA+SW) provides 18 dB of small
signal gain with low EVM of 4% at 24 dBm
average output power.
Saturated output power is up to 2 Watts. Targeting
39 GHz phased array 5G NR base stations
and terminals, the compact 4.5 x 6 mm
air-cavity laminate, surface mount package
with embedded copper heat slug employs
a low thermal resistance die attach process
making the QPF4005 ideal for phased array
applications with tight lattice spacing and
extreme temperature requirements.
4-way Power Divider offers
Repeatability
RFMW announced availability of the
Knowles – DLI Wilkinson Power Divider
portfolio ranging from 2 to 42 GHz. The
portfolio also includes filters and broadband
couplers. DLI’s PDW08607 is a
4-way power divider operating from 5.3 to
5.9 GHz with a maximum excess insertion
loss of 0.7 dB and 18 dB of isolation. With
excellent repeatability, DLI power dividers
are ideal for ultra-compact phased array
antenna applications with models supporting
sub-6 GHz 5G designs as well as n257,
n258, n260 and n261 mmWave bands. The
PDW08607 has an amplitude balance of 0.4
dB and phase balance of 4 degrees. These
ceramic substrate devices utilize patented
materials exhibiting excellent temperature
stability and high K factor. Combined, these
characteristics enable off-the-shelf solutions
with small size with high performance. This
power divider is available in a surfacemount
package that measures 4.45 x 6.6 x
0.76 mm. Evaluation boards are available
for qualifying programs.
Family of 5G Dual-Channel
Receiver Frontends
Richardson RFPD, an Arrow Electronics
company, announced the availability and full
design support capabilities for a family of
RF and millimeter-wave front end modules
from Analog Devices, Inc. These dual-channel
receiver front-end multichip modules are
designed for time division duplexing (TDD)
applications that operate from 2.4-4.2 GHz
(ADRF5545A), 3.7-5.3 GHz (ADRF5547)
and 1.8-2.8 GHz (ADRF5549). The devices
are configured in dual channels with a cascading
two-stage LNA and a high-power silicon
SPDT switch. They are well suited for
wireless infrastructure, TDD massive multiple
input and multiple output and active
antenna systems, and TDD-based communication
system applications.
Key features of the family of front end
modules include:
• On-chip bias and matching
• Single supply operation
• Gain:
ADRF5545A @ 3.6 GHz: 32 dB typ. high
gain mode, 16 dB typ. low gain mode
