CANNABIS FOR THE EYES<br />
CBD are phytocannabinoids from the cannabis sativa plant. The trendy ingredient is<br />
already being successfully used in skin care. But it also has great healing properties<br />
for the eyes. Dr. Lubos Frano, specialist in ophthalmology and developer of the<br />
"Augenkraft CBD eye cream" tells us why.<br />
Why did you develop eye care products with<br />
CBD?<br />
In general, I consider eye care to be the new<br />
skin care, as the eye is not just a sensory<br />
organ, but also an organ similar to skin. I have<br />
been interested in the science of eye care for<br />
more than 20 years. After the hyaluronic acid<br />
revolution comes the effective cannabidiol<br />
(CBD). There is also medical evidence that<br />
cannabidiol, for example, can soothe, stabilize<br />
and refresh the skin around the eyes.<br />
What are the special benefits of eye care with<br />
CBD?<br />
Cannabidiol is very natural and does not have<br />
a psychoactive effect as is generally assumed.<br />
It's also anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and<br />
calming. The cream can complement a treatment<br />
with cortisone and antibiotic ointments<br />
very well and contribute to the healing of the<br />
skin in psoriasis, neurodermatitis and acne.<br />
Everyone has CBD receptors in their skin.<br />
In this way, the collagen fibers, which are<br />
responsible for the elasticity of the skin, can<br />
also be positively influenced.<br />
Is eye care also suitable for contact lens<br />
wearers?<br />
Yes. We recommend the Augenkraft CBD<br />
cream for contact lens wearers as well as for<br />
glasses wearers. In general, facial care should<br />
also include daily eye care.<br />
As an ophthalmologist, why do you generally<br />
recommend eye care?<br />
We take in 80% of all information through our<br />
eyes every day. We take care of our face, lips,<br />
hair and beard. But we forget the eyes. Just a<br />
drop of hyaluronic acid can be very good for<br />
the eyes and make work on the PC easier. If<br />
you don't like eye drops, you can also use the<br />
eye power spray. Glasses and blue light filters<br />
on the PC protect, but not as directly as, for<br />
example, wetting drops.<br />
Can you get advice on eye care?<br />
In any case. In January 2020 we opened a department<br />
for medical eye care at Bayerischer<br />
Platz in Schöneberg. I think it's the first of its<br />
kind in <strong>Berlin</strong>. We examine your eyes there<br />
and tell you which active ingredients are best<br />
