Not eine Tugend, stellten den Motorboothandel
ein und widmeten sich der Entwicklung und dem
Bau von Elektrobooten. Mit dabei: das Gmundner
Unternehmen Accumot (Fam. Preinerstorfer), das
einen besonders widerstandsfähigen Motor entwickelt
hatte. In den folgenden Jahren verließen
mehrere hundert Elektroboote die 1976 neu erbaute
Werft in Moosham, Gmunden. Und das Beste:
Viele davon sind noch heute im Einsatz.
Geburtsstunde für Weltmeister: H-Boot Lizenz
Der Erwerb der H-Boot Lizenz vom finnischen Segelverband
war im Jahr 1979 die nächste Sternstunde
für das Frauscher-Team. Das beliebte Boot
wurde über 600-mal verkauft und brachte auch
große sportliche Erfolge. Hans Frauscher wurde
1982 mit diesem Boot Weltmeister. Sein Sohn Stefan
Frauscher trat 2002 in seine Fußstapfen. Insgesamt
wurden mit dem Frauscher H-Boot vier
Weltmeistertitel gewonnen.
Vom See aufs Meer: die dritte Generation
1982 tritt die dritte Generation der Familie Frauscher
ins Unternehmen ein: Mit Michael Frauscher,
dem ältesten Sohn von Hans Frauscher, beweist ein
weiterer geprüfter Bootbauer mit seinem Team die
sprichwörtliche Frauscher-Kompetenz und Innovationskraft.
Aber alles der Reihe nach: Nachdem Michael
1982 ins Unternehmen gekommen war, wurde
der Segelhafen Weyer in Gmunden Anfang der
achtziger Jahre neu errichtet. 1988 wurde das Haus
Traunsteinstraße 10 gebaut, wo sich lange Zeit das
Büro des Unternehmens mit Ausstellungshalle und
Verkaufsgeschäft befand. In der Nachbarschaft im
Haus Traunsteinstraße 14 verzaubert heute ein
Schauraum mit Frauscher-Schmuckstücken die
Herzen der Besucher. Außerdem befindet sich hier
das Hafenbüro, in dem Andrea Frauscher-Oberfrank,
Tochter von Ernst Frauscher, die Geschäfte
führt. Andrea ist seit ihrem Eintritt ins Unternehmen
1996 die erste Anlaufstelle für bestehende
und potenzielle Frauscher-Kunden. Auch Hans’
Sohn Stefan kam im selben Jahr an Bord.

company, Accumot (run by the Preinerstorfer
family), which had developed an exceptionally robust motor.
Over the following years, several hundred electric boats
left the new shipyard in Moosham, Gmunden, which was
built in 1976. And the best thing is that many of them are
still in use today.
The birth of world champions: the H-boat licence
The acquisition of the H-boat licence from the Finnish Sailing
Federation in 1979 marked the next great moment in
Frauscher’s history. More than 600 of the popular H-boats
were sold, and the boat also set the sales for great sporting
success: Hans Frauscher became world champion with this
boat in 1982, and his son Stefan Frauscher followed in his
footsteps in 2002. A total of four world titles were won
aboard the Frauscher H-boat.
From the lake to the sea: the third generation
The third generation of the Frauscher family joined the
company in 1982. Michael Frauscher, the eldest son of Hans
Frauscher, is another boatbuilder who – together with his
team – continues to demonstrate that signature Frauscher
expertise and innovation. But let’s get back to the timeline:
Michael joined the company in 1982, and the new Weyer
sailing marina was built in Gmunden not long after that
in the early eighties. The building at Traunsteinstraße 10
was constructed in 1988 and was home to the company’s
offices for many years, along with an exhibition hall and a
sales centre. Nearby at Traunsteinstraße 14, a showroom
full of Frauscher gems captures the hearts of all who visit
today. The marina office is also based here, which is
where Andrea Frauscher-Oberfrank, the daughter of Ernst
Frauscher, takes care of the running business. Since joining
the company in 1996, Andrea has been the first point of
contact for all existing and potential Frauscher customers.
Hans’ second son, Stefan also came on board that year.
