Bewegte Jahre
Nach der Umwandlung der Unternehmensstruktur
entstand 1993 die Frauscher Bootswerft GmbH
& Co KG. Nach einem Brand im Jahr 2001, bei
dem das gesamte Bootshaus und 60 Boote zerstört
wurden, prägt heute das im Jahr 2002 neu
erbaute Bootshaus das Gesamtbild des Frauscher
Hafens, wo 2015 der letzte Zubau erfolgte. Doch
nicht nur wegen der Bautätigkeit war in der Frauscher
Bootswerft alles in Bewegung. Auch in punkto
Design ließen die „engineers of emotion“ ihr
Können aufblitzen und machten ihrem Namen alle
Ehre. Mit den Modellen St. Tropez, Valencia, Lido,
Riviera und Benaco setzten sie zu Beginn des Jahrtausends
in Sachen Design neue Trends. Die Frauscher
717 GT wurde im Jahr 2010 als „Powerboat of
the Year“ ausgezeichnet.
Der Schritt aufs Meer
Und damit war der Siegeszug der Frauscher-Boote
aufs offene Meer nicht mehr aufzuhalten. Neben
einer neuen modernen Werft in Ohlsdorf im Jahr
2012 verpasste sich das Traditionsunternehmen
eine neue Organisationsstruktur, die sich im Gebäude
widerspiegelt.
In nicht so rosigen wirtschaftlichen Zeiten hatten
die „engineers of emotions“ den Schritt nach vorne
in die Expansion gewagt: Mit der Optimierung von
Prozessen und Abläufen sowie der Entscheidung
für den Bau von Luxusbooten gelang ein entscheidender
Durchbruch. Im selben Jahr eröffnete man
den Vertriebsstandort Port Adriano auf Mallorca.
Im Jahr 2016 wurde mit der Luxusyacht 1414 Demon
ein weiterer Schritt vom See aufs Meer getan
und damit der Beginn eines neuen Kapitels in der
Firmengeschichte geschrieben. Sieben Jahre nach
der Eröffnung des Standortes auf Mallorca wurde
eine weitere Niederlassung der Frauscher Bootswerft
in Port Grimaud an der Côte d’Azur eröffnet.
Seit 2020 gibt es außerdem mit Frauscher America
in Miami, Florida, die Möglichkeit, die faszinierende
Welt von Frauscher kennenzulernen, Tests
von Vorführbooten im Atlantik inklusive.
Eventful years
Following the transformation of the corporate structure,
the company became Frauscher Bootswerft GmbH & Co
KG in 1993. A fire in 2001 completely destroyed the boathouse
and 60 boats. The new boathouse, which was built
in 2002 – and most recently extended in 2015 – dominates
the Frauscher harbour today.
But it’s not just the buildings that were changing shape at
the Frauscher shipyard. The ‘engineers of emotions’ were
outdoing themselves in terms of design, and really living
up to their name. They sparked a host of new design trends
in the early 2000s with the likes of the St. Tropez, Valencia,
Lido, Riviera and Benaco models. The Frauscher 717 GT
was named ‘Powerboat of the Year’ in 2010.
Onto the open sea
There was now nothing standing between Frauscher boats
and success on the open sea. As well as a new modern shipyard
in Ohlsdorf in 2012, the long-established company
adapted to a new organisational structure, which is reflected
in the building.
During not-so-rosy economic times, the ‘engineers of emotions’
made the bold decision to take a step towards expansion.
Their decision to optimise processes and begin
building luxury boats marked a crucial breakthrough. The
company opened the Port Adriano sales centre in Mallorca
that same year. In 2016, it took another step away from
the lake and towards the sea with the 1414 Demon luxury
boat, marking the start of a new chapter in the company’s
history. Seven years after the opening of the sales centre in
Mallorca, another Frauscher shipyard branch office opened
in Port Grimaud on the French Riviera. Since 2020, customers
on the other side of the pond have also been able to
learn more about the fascinating world of Frauscher thanks
to Frauscher America in Miami, Florida, including the opportunity
to test drive Frauscher boats in the Atlantic.
This development was no doubt in keeping with the spirit
of the founder, Engelbert Frauscher. He was extremely
proud of his sons and the flourishing business, which he
felt a close bond with right to the very end. Even today, it is
that passion for boat building that defines the company –
and it lives on in his sons and grandchildren.
Diese Entwicklung war wohl im Sinne des Gründers
Engelbert Frauscher. Er war voller Stolz auf
seine Söhne und den florierenden Betrieb, dem er
sich bis zum Ende eng verbunden fühlte. Die Leidenschaft
für den Bootbau prägt das Unternehmen
bis heute und wird von seinen Söhnen und
Enkelkindern weitergegeben.
