mand at year s end because of a desire <strong>to</strong><br />
know what <strong>the</strong> future will hold This year<br />
leaves <strong>the</strong> bus<strong>in</strong>ess community—and <strong>the</strong><br />
real estate <strong>in</strong>dustry <strong>in</strong> particular —<br />
even more questions about what s <strong>in</strong> s<strong>to</strong>re<br />
for 20<strong>08</strong> and beyond<br />
As 2007 w<strong>in</strong>ds down <strong>the</strong> economy is be<br />
<strong>in</strong>g hammered by a hous<strong>in</strong>g meltdown<br />
soar<strong>in</strong>g foreclosure rates tighten<strong>in</strong>g cred<br />
it <strong>the</strong> loom<strong>in</strong>g employer sanctions law<br />
stiffer pollution penalties and an uptick<br />
<strong>in</strong> state and Valley unemployment<br />
