Shade and design of <strong>the</strong> <strong>ASU</strong><br />
down<strong>to</strong>wn campus are criti<br />
cally important aspects <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />
whole plan Voters did not<br />
tax <strong>the</strong>mselves for mediocre<br />
drab edifices like <strong>the</strong> disap<br />
po<strong>in</strong>t<strong>in</strong>g down<strong>to</strong>wn Shera<strong>to</strong>n<br />
Hotel which was f<strong>in</strong>anced by<br />
revenue bonds It will be paid<br />
for by guests <strong>to</strong>urists But it s<br />
<strong>the</strong> residents of Phoenix who<br />
are pay<strong>in</strong>g for <strong>ASU</strong><br />
The nurs<strong>in</strong>g college expan<br />
sion will be <strong>the</strong> entrance <strong>to</strong><br />
<strong>the</strong> <strong>ASU</strong> campus front <strong>the</strong><br />
north The first th<strong>in</strong>g mo<strong>to</strong>ri<br />
sts and visi<strong>to</strong>rs see It must<br />
be done right Someth<strong>in</strong>g<br />
