involvement/visit<br />
Visited the Faculty as a Fulbright<br />
Scholar. She worked with the Faculty<br />
to explore and integrate their<br />
understanding of the concept of<br />
humanising pedagogies.<br />
They are involved in the joint research<br />
project on Scientific Literacy.<br />
They had discussions on the Global<br />
University <strong>Research</strong> Project with the<br />
Faculty of Education.<br />
Part of the activities in the SA -<br />
Swedish Links Project coordinated by<br />
Prof Paul Webb.<br />
They worked on joint research about<br />
VIG.<br />
They held discussions on the joint DUC<br />
- <strong>NMMU</strong> project plan and planned for<br />
the envisaged follow-up visit in July<br />
<strong>2011</strong>.<br />
She engaged in the HIV and AIDS<br />
community of practice and worked<br />
with a toolkit that uses a different lens<br />
for HIV and AIDS education.<br />
She carried out joint research with<br />
members of the Literature Hub and<br />
presented three papers at the RASA<br />
Conference.<br />
Their visit was funded by an NRF Ad<br />
Hoc Short <strong>Research</strong> Visit for Eminent<br />
Scientists Grant. Their work was in<br />
decolonising the teacher education<br />
curriculum, transformation and artsbased<br />
pedagogical projects.<br />
Outcome of visit<br />

Humanising Pedagogy<br />
Hub and assisted with<br />
the unfolding process of<br />
curriculum renewal in the<br />
Faculty.<br />
