During the second term, the first in-company experience will be in Switzerland, unless students have
been mandated by a company to work abroad. Students may choose to work in kitchen, service,
housekeeping or front office, provided that they do not have any previous experience in the field. This
operational training will allow them to acquire new skills and gain a deeper understanding of the
ways in which the different aspects of a hospitality enterprise all link together. During this time they
will continue to work on their business projects, concentrating on the tasks that they will have
defined with their professors, collecting relevant data and carrying out surveys and interviews. They
will test their hypotheses, and finalize and validate their project budgets.
During the fourth and final term, the second in-company experience will take place at an
administrative level in a hotel or restaurant, anywhere in the world. Students may choose to work in
lodging, foodservice, public relations, finance and accounting, human resources or sales and
marketing. This experience will add to the skills they need for implementing their project by giving
them the opportunity to focus on optimizing processes and problem solving.
