<strong>the</strong> UK, said, “For busy operators of our older vehicles,<br />

getting service and maintenance prices has been too timeconsuming.<br />

With <strong>the</strong> credit squeeze pushing operators to keep vehicles<br />

for longer, and more and more high quality <strong>MAN</strong> TopUsed<br />

vehicles joining fleets to reduce capital costs, so <strong>the</strong> number<br />

of older trucks grows.<br />

That ‘something’ is <strong>the</strong> innovative <strong>MAN</strong> Menu Pricing<br />

service, available by phone or at <strong>the</strong> service counter from<br />

any of <strong>MAN</strong>’s 68 UK service centres. “It is” says Welsh, “a<br />

significant step forward. Now, when <strong>the</strong>se operators ask for<br />

a service quote, <strong>the</strong>y should get a firm, fair and accurate<br />

price in around 15 seconds.” <strong>MAN</strong> Menu Pricing has<br />

analysed parts, labour and o<strong>the</strong>r aspects of 800 common<br />

service requests to produce fixed and competitive ‘local’<br />

prices. Operators simply quote <strong>the</strong> vehicle registration<br />

number and any <strong>MAN</strong> service dealer can pull up <strong>the</strong><br />

relevant vehicle details, enabling quotes to be fully specific<br />

to <strong>the</strong> actual truck.
