In the big top! - MAN inmotion

World-famous Circus Krone has been
thrilling audiences for decades with its unique mix of
hilarious clowns and daring trapeze artists, magnificent
elephants and fierce lions, skilful jugglers and brave animal
trainers, adept knife-throwers and amazing magicians. The
spectacular shows where one fantastic act follows another
keep children and their parents in a breath-taking whirl of
astonishment and laughter, exhilaration and glee. But after
the applause dies down and the 4,500 spectators leave the
big top, 60 hardworking assistants leap out from behind the
scenes. They quickly pack up the big top while the artistes
are removing their makeup, and within three hours they are
ready to roll. Even some members of the troupe slip out of
their spangly costumes and don normal working dress to
help out. One important task, for example, is to take the
animals directly from the circus ring to their vans ready for
transportation.
Circus Krone is Europe’s biggest
circus. When it hits the road, it takes
with it 380 members of staff, 300
circus caravans and 200 animals.
