At the Big 5 show in Dubai MAN presented its new TGS WW
series. The sturdy truck is particularly useful for transporting
heavy construction materials.
Dubai has been posting impressive economic growth for several years
now. The city on the Arabian Peninsula is growing at a breath-taking
rate and has experienced an unparalleled construction boom, with
skyscrapers shooting up out of the ground in quick succession. This
development has also benefitted MAN. Its TGS WWs and TGMs –

MAN’s fan community on the video-sharing website YouTube
is growing, with the number of hits increasing to around
14,400 each day. Videos showing the new types of
technology are particularly popular. One clip about MAN
HydroDrive ® has notched up an incredible 500,000 hits. A
recent survey showed that 91.1 percent of users became
aware of the videos via MAN’s Facebook page.

Dubai: Trucknology for the boom
models ideally suited to the region – were received with great interest
at Dubai’s Big 5 show. The TGS 33.360 with its 400-litre tank and
spacious cab is particularly appropriate for conditions in the Middle
East and is an invaluable vehicle for the construction industry in the
desert state.
TGX named Truck of the Year
Triumph in Ireland
MAN recently received two awards in Ireland. At the Fleet
Transport Awards, the TGX EfficientLine was crowned Irish Truck
of the Year 2012, and the TGX 26.440 came out top in the Fleet
Truck of the Year category. The TGX won out thanks to its superior
quality, driving comfort, safety features and fuel efficiency. The
judges were highly impressed by the TGX 26.440, presented with
an XLX cab and three-axle configuration, which is a particularly
common configuration in the UK and Ireland.
