SECTION 3<br />

The PCV Not Reached Alarm is activated in pressure control<br />

ventilation when the maximum inspiratory pressure (Paw P) is<br />

less than 50% of the target pressure for 2 consecutive<br />

mandatory breaths. The alarm is reset when maximum inspiratory<br />

pressure (Paw P) is ≥ 50% of the target pressure.<br />

Audible Alarm: Intermittent 3-pulse caution beep<br />

Visual Alarm: Humidifier indicator blinks yellow<br />

The Humidifier Alarm is activated when any of the following<br />

conditions occur in the <strong>HT50</strong> built-in humidifier. When an alarm<br />

condition is detected the humidifier heater shuts down.<br />

There are five humidifier alarms:<br />

Check Humidifier Bottle removed or not clamped<br />

properly when trying to activate<br />

the humidifier. Temp Probe not<br />

connected or missing when<br />

trying to activate the humidifier.<br />

Humidifier Fail Bottle removed while humidifier<br />

is On. Failure of the primary<br />

humidifier control.<br />

Check Temp Probe Temp Probe damaged or<br />

missing while humidifier is On.<br />

High Prox Temp Proximal temperature exceeds<br />

set target temperature by 4°C<br />

when set at ≥ 34ºC or 6ºC when<br />

set at < 34ºC.<br />

High Temp Core Excessive temperature in the<br />

humidifier heating element.<br />

NOTE: The Humidifier Alarm is automatically set when using the<br />

<strong>HT50</strong> humidifier. Humidifier Alarms (and the built-in humidifier) do<br />

not function when the <strong>HT50</strong> is powered on internal battery.<br />
