Lil’ Sprouts Nature Preschool<br />
Lil’ Sprouts is a one-of-a-kind program in the<br />
area that is built upon fostering your child’s<br />
excitement and enthusiasm of the natural world.<br />
It will encourage their growth and learning<br />
about the world around them. The curriculum<br />
is structured around authentic experiences<br />
that will have the children exploring nature<br />
with opportunities for play-based learning,<br />
art, music, dramatic play, stories, and so much<br />
more. Math, language arts, and reading are<br />
also incorporated into the curriculum. Come<br />
and experience “The Natural Way of Learning!”<br />

Nature Noises<br />
Take a walk in the woods with a naturalist and<br />
listen to the sounds of nature, from birds songs<br />
to babbling brooks. <strong>Get</strong> inspired by nature<br />
and create your own musical instruments using<br />
natural and recycled materials. A short hike<br />
will be included, followed by an all natural jam<br />
session. Musicians are encouraged to bring thier<br />
own recyclables to use.<br />

100-mile Hike Club<br />
Ready for a challenge? Come hike a hundred<br />
miles, register for our hikes throughout the year<br />
and earn credit miles to earn a T-shirt, patch,<br />
and more. Membership to the club is free, but<br />
each hike may have a small fee. Any naturalist<br />
led hike counts toward your credit miles. A staff<br />
signature is required for credit.<br />

RibbonWalk Volunteer Day<br />
with <strong>Charlotte</strong> Sierra Club<br />
Join Park and Rec and the Sierra Club as we<br />
fight invasive species at the beautiful<br />
RibbonWalk Preserve. Other duties may include<br />
light trail work and trash clean-up. Come out<br />
and take ownership of your preserve!. Tools and<br />
gloves provided but bring your own if you have<br />
them. Children under 18 must be accompanied<br />
by an adult.<br />
