6. OPERATION (MOTOR PROTECTION SYSTEM)<br />
When the power trim warning system<br />
is activated:<br />
1. Immediately decrease the trim<br />
angle by pressing the DN portion of<br />
the power trim/tilt switch.<br />
2. Immediately reduce the tiottle<br />
opening to SLOW and Operate the<br />
engine at low speed.<br />

Anodes<br />
The anodes are a skxificial material<br />
which helps to protect the outboard<br />
motor from corrosion.<br />
1 NOTICE) Painting or coating the<br />
anodes will lead to rust and corrosion<br />
damage to the outboard motor.<br />
There are also 2 small sacrificial anodes<br />
in the water passages of the engine<br />
block.
