Fuel Tank Filter<br />
Cleaning/Replacement<br />
1. Turn the fuel tank hose connector<br />
counterclockwise to remove the<br />
fuel tank filter.<br />
2. Clean the fuel tank filter with non-<br />
flammable cleaner or solvent.<br />
Replace the fuel tank filter if neces-<br />
sary*<br />
3. After cleaning or replacement, rein-<br />
st$l the fuel tank filter and fuel<br />
tank hose connector securely.<br />
Fuse Replacement<br />
BLOWN FUSE<br />
If the fuse is blown, running the engine<br />
will not charge the battery and the<br />
electric starter will not work.<br />
FUSE RATING: 15A<br />
Never use a fuse. with a different rat-<br />
ing from that specified.<br />
If the fuse is blown, check the cause,<br />
then replace the fuse with a spare fuse<br />
of the same rated capacity. Unless the<br />
cause is found, the fuse may blow<br />
again.<br />

Replacement<br />
1. Stop the engine.<br />
2. Remove the engine cover.<br />
3. Pull the blown fuse out of the clip.<br />
4. Push a new 15A fuse into the clip.<br />
A spare 15A fuse is located in the fuse<br />
holder. If the spare fuse is not available,<br />
the motor will need to be started with the<br />
pull starter rope (refer to the emergency<br />
start procedure page 44).
