1. Close the fuel cap vent knob.<br />
2. Disconnect the fuel coupling<br />
from the outboard motor (refer to<br />
page 35).<br />
Outboard Motor Position<br />
Transport and store the motor either<br />
vertically or horizontally, as shown<br />
above. Store the outboard motor in a<br />
well-ventilated area free from direct<br />
sunlight and humidity.<br />
Vertical transport or storage:<br />
Attach the stem bracket to stand.<br />

Rest the motor on the case protectors.<br />
