For longer service life of the outboard<br />

motor,‘have your outboard motor ser-<br />

viced by an authorized <strong>Honda</strong> <strong>Marine</strong><br />

dealer before storage.<br />

If you are unable to take the motor to<br />

your dealer, proceed as follows:<br />

Draining the Carburetors<br />

B Gasoline is<br />

extremely flammable, and gaso-<br />

line vapor can explode, causing<br />

serious injury or death. Do not<br />

smoke or allow flames or sparks<br />

in your working area, KEEP OUT<br />

OF REACH OF CHILDREN.<br />

Be careful not to spill gasoline. Spilled<br />

gasoline or gasoline vapor may ignite.<br />

If any gasoline is spilled, make sure<br />

the area is dry before storing or trans-<br />

porting the motor. Do not smoke or<br />

allow flames or sparks where gasoline<br />

is drained or stored.<br />

DRAII’i SCREW<br />

1. Disconnect the fuel hose connector.<br />

2. Pull the #3 carburetor drain hose<br />

outside of the motor pan.<br />

3. Loosen the drain screw of the #3<br />

carburetor and drain the carburetor.<br />

Catch the draining gasoline in an<br />

approved gasoline container.<br />

4. Dram the #I and #2 carburetors in<br />

the same manner using the #3 car-<br />

buretor dram hose.<br />

5. After thoroughly draining the car-<br />

buretors, tighten the drain screws<br />

securely.<br />

6. Reinstall the drain hose back on the<br />

#3 carburetor.
