3. Pull the spring retainer toward you,<br />
and raise the fuel filter.<br />
4. Check the fuel filter for water accu-<br />
mulation or sediment. If no water<br />
or sediment are found, reinstall the<br />
fuel filter properly.<br />

Change<br />
1. Remove the fuel filter.<br />
FUEL HOSES<br />
Before removing the fuel filter. to<br />
prevent fuel leakage, place fuel hose<br />
clamps on the fuel hoses at each side of<br />
the fuel filter.<br />
ARROW (Fuel Flow Direction)<br />
2. Install the new fuel filter so the<br />
arrow on the fuel filter points<br />
toward the fuel pump.<br />
Fuel flow will be reduced if the fuel<br />
filter is installed backward.<br />
3. Connect the fuel hoses to the fuel<br />
filter securely with the hose clips.<br />
Remove the fuel hose clamps used<br />
to close the fuel hoses.
