engine performance and service life.<br />
Oil check interval:<br />
Each use.<br />
Oil change interval:<br />
After the first 20 hours, then every<br />
100 hours. (Refer to the mainte-<br />
nance schedule page 77).<br />
OIL CAPACITY:<br />
2.1 US qt (2.0 lit)...When oil filter is<br />
not replaced<br />
2.5 US qt (2.4 lit)....When oil filter is<br />
replaced<br />
Recommended oil:<br />
BF35A...SAElOW-30 engine oil or<br />
equivalent, API Service classification<br />
SG, SH.<br />
BF40Al50A...SAE5W-30 engine oil,<br />
API Service classification Fuel Efficient<br />

Engine Oil Replacement<br />
Drain the oil while the engine is still<br />
warm to assure rapid and complete<br />
draining.<br />
1. Position the outboard motor verti-<br />
cally, and remove the engine cover.<br />
Remove the oil filler cap.<br />
