6.4.4 Systems Approach to Conservation Tillage
Conservation tillage is a package of cultural practices
that are specifically developed to conserve soil and
water resources, sustain high and satisfactory returns
and minimize soil and environmental degradation.

the needs of soil and water conservation in the region.
Figure 21 shows the interrelationship between
conservation tillage and cultural practices that is
required for the successful agricultural management
of the soil surface that improves rather than degrades
this natural resource.
