Miscellaneous <strong>Soil</strong>s<br />

Armstrong (A:er) 1 soils are located mainly east <strong>of</strong> Rutl<strong>and</strong> near Black Knight Mountain.<br />

Corporation (CP) soils occur in scattered locations mainly in the southern portion <strong>of</strong> the map area.<br />

Dub Lake (DU) soils are relatively uncommon in the map area <strong>and</strong> only occur north <strong>of</strong> Oliver on extreme slopes.<br />

Enderby (E:er) (E:li) 1 soils are mainly found in an east-west valley that lies between Glenemma <strong>and</strong> Enderby <strong>and</strong> in the<br />

Deep Creek Valley.<br />

Glenemma (G:er) 1 soils were mapped along Equesis Creek, near the north end <strong>of</strong> Okanagan Lake. Other areas lie<br />

adjacent to BX Creek northeast <strong>of</strong> Vernon <strong>and</strong> along the south side <strong>of</strong> the Coldstream Valley.<br />

Iltcoola (IL) soils occur on nearly level <strong>and</strong> very gently sloping isl<strong>and</strong>s, bars <strong>and</strong> low terraces in <strong>and</strong> adjacent to the<br />

Okanagan <strong>and</strong> Similkameen River channels.<br />

Kloag Pass (KG) soils occur adjacent to Osoyoos Lake on gentle <strong>and</strong> moderate slopes.<br />

Maynard (MD) soils occur on gentle to extreme slopes in the Okanagan Valley, mainly adjacent to Osoyoos, Skaha <strong>and</strong><br />

Okanagan Lakes.<br />

Nahun (H:er) 1 soils occupy gravelly terraces in the natural grassl<strong>and</strong> section <strong>of</strong> the map area. The main areas occur<br />

northwest <strong>of</strong> Armstrong, south <strong>of</strong> Glenemma <strong>and</strong> in the vicinity <strong>of</strong> BX Creek.<br />

Rutl<strong>and</strong> (R:er) 1 soils occupy areas throughout the Okanagan Valley portion <strong>of</strong> the map area <strong>and</strong> also near Keremeos in<br />

the Similkameen Valley.<br />

Solly (SØ) soils occur adjacent to Osoyoos, Vaseaux, Skaha <strong>and</strong> Okanagan lakes.<br />
