Agar Lake (AA) soils occur near Oliver, Penticton <strong>and</strong> Summerl<strong>and</strong>.<br />
Dartmouth (DH) soils occur throughout the central Okanagan Valley portion <strong>of</strong> the map area.<br />
Paradise (PE) soils occur mainly near Oliver, Okanagan Falls, West Summerl<strong>and</strong> <strong>and</strong> East Kelowna.<br />
Skaha (SK) soils are common <strong>and</strong> occur on nearly level to extreme slopes, usually in association with Debeck, Osoyoos,<br />
Haynes <strong>and</strong> Agar Lake soils.<br />
Trout Creek (TC) soils are scattered throughout the Okanagan map area, but are most common in the West Summerl<strong>and</strong>,<br />
Peachl<strong>and</strong> <strong>and</strong> East Kelowna areas.<br />
Stemwinder <strong>Soil</strong> <strong>Management</strong> Group<br />
Burnell Lake (BL) soils are common in the South Okanagan Valley near Oliver, Penticton, Naramata <strong>and</strong> Summerl<strong>and</strong>.<br />
Canyonview (CY) soils occupy small scattered location near Oliver, Penticton, Summerl<strong>and</strong> <strong>and</strong> adjacent to the Ashnola<br />
River west <strong>of</strong> Keremeos.<br />
Hupel (HU) soils are located north <strong>of</strong> Lumby in the White <strong>and</strong> Trinity Valleys <strong>and</strong> east <strong>of</strong> Lumby toward Cherryville in<br />
Bluespring Valley.<br />
Lumby (LY) (LY:gl) 1 soils are scattered throughout most <strong>of</strong> the classified area, but are more common in the vicinity <strong>of</strong><br />
Lumby.<br />
Manery (MY) soils occur throughout the map area <strong>and</strong> are usually associated with Canyonview, Roy Creek, Tomlin <strong>and</strong><br />
Inkaneep soils.<br />
P<strong>and</strong>ozy (PY) soils only occur on the Mission Creek fan near Kelowna.<br />
Ponderosa (PØ) soils occur only in the vicinity or Oliver.<br />
Ratnip (RN) soils occur near Oliver, Summerl<strong>and</strong> <strong>and</strong> East Kelowna.<br />
Stemwinder (SW) soils are common in the Similkameen Valley from the International Boundary to the Ashnola River,<br />
they also occur in small areas near Oliver, Penticton <strong>and</strong> Peachl<strong>and</strong>.<br />
Tomlin (TM) soils occur throughout the map area, mostly near Penticton, Okanagan Falls, Summerl<strong>and</strong>, Westbank <strong>and</strong><br />
Kelowna.<br />
Twin Lakes (TL) soils are limited to the southern part <strong>of</strong> the map area, mostly near Olalla.<br />
Summerl<strong>and</strong> <strong>Soil</strong> <strong>Management</strong> Group<br />
Gartrell (GR) soils occur in a few scattered areas throughout the Okanagan Valley portion <strong>of</strong> the map area.<br />
Summerl<strong>and</strong> (SR) soils occur mainly near Osoyoos, West Summerl<strong>and</strong>, Westbank <strong>and</strong> Kelowna.<br />
Swanson (SN) (SN:vp) 1 soils are scattered near the north end <strong>of</strong> Okanagan Lake, along the shore <strong>of</strong> Swan Lake <strong>and</strong> in the<br />
area between 345 <strong>and</strong> 450 metre elevations.<br />
Susap <strong>Soil</strong> <strong>Management</strong> Group<br />
Bullock (BK) soils occur on nearly level <strong>and</strong> very gentle slopes on the floodplain <strong>of</strong> the Similkameen River.<br />
Kinney (KY) soils occur on the Okanagan River floodplain between Penticton <strong>and</strong> Osoyoos Lake.<br />
Monashee (MØ) soils occur along Cherry, Creighton, Bluespring <strong>and</strong> Bessette Creeks.<br />
Susap (SU) soils are common on the floodplain <strong>of</strong> the Similkameen River.<br />
