loosely punctate in <strong>the</strong> lateral c<strong>on</strong>cavity, <strong>the</strong> moderately wide,<br />
str<strong>on</strong>gly reflexed sides transversely rugose and coarsely punctate;<br />
elytra ( 9 ) sensibly less than twice as l<strong>on</strong>g as wide, <strong>on</strong>e-half wider<br />
than <strong>the</strong> prothorax, evenly oval, evenly but <strong>on</strong>ly moderately c<strong>on</strong>vex<br />
above, feebly depressed narrowly al<strong>on</strong>g <strong>the</strong> suture, <strong>the</strong> sides of <strong>the</strong><br />
base feebly prominent, <strong>the</strong> surface alutaceous, <strong>the</strong> feebly c<strong>on</strong>vex<br />
lines separated by broad rugose intervals, over which are scattered<br />
sparse fine punctures, <strong>the</strong> third and fourth intervals more c<strong>on</strong>vex<br />
and not so broad, <strong>the</strong> lateral margin ra<strong>the</strong>r acute and well marked;<br />
abdomen occupying fully half <strong>the</strong> entire length, minutely, sparsely<br />

and <strong>on</strong>ly very feebly rugulose, <strong>the</strong> small and sparse punctures throughout<br />
irregular in size and shape, some being ra<strong>the</strong>r el<strong>on</strong>gate, this<br />
character being more marked than in compar; abdomen shining,<br />
very obsoletely rugulose, minutely and remotely punctate; legs<br />
l<strong>on</strong>g and slender, <strong>the</strong> hind tibiae evenly and feebly bowed; hairs <strong>on</strong><br />
<strong>the</strong> under side of <strong>the</strong> tarsi l<strong>on</strong>g and deep fulvous-red. Length 27.5<br />

A As in elata but smaller and more slender, <strong>the</strong> elytra more evidently<br />
striate, black; prothorax slightly shorter than wide, <strong>the</strong> sides<br />
broadly and gradually reflexed, rounded anteriorly, angulate in<br />
<strong>the</strong> middle, and, <strong>the</strong>nce to <strong>the</strong> base, sinuate; base truncate, <strong>the</strong><br />
posterior angles almost right; surface medially sparsely and finely,<br />
laterally more coarsely and rugosely, punctate; elytra slightly wider<br />
than <strong>the</strong> prothorax, el<strong>on</strong>gate-oval, acuminate behind, moderately<br />
deeply punctato-scabrous; striae distinct, broad, moderately
