Similar to analis but more parallel and relatively more el<strong>on</strong>gate,<br />

<strong>the</strong> elytral punctures ra<strong>the</strong>r smaller, fully as well separated and<br />

notably feebler, <strong>the</strong> coarse decumbent hairs more readily denuded<br />

or less persistent; impressed median line of <strong>the</strong> pr<strong>on</strong>otum much<br />

broader and deeper but <strong>on</strong>ly extending from <strong>the</strong> base to slightly<br />

bey<strong>on</strong>d <strong>the</strong> centre; elytra much l<strong>on</strong>ger, a third l<strong>on</strong>ger than wide;<br />

abdomen slightly alutaceous, finely, sparsely punctate, <strong>the</strong> last<br />

segment (d") as in analis. Length 2.2 mm.; width 1.15 mm.<br />

variegated pubescence; prothorax str<strong>on</strong>gly transverse, <strong>the</strong> c<strong>on</strong>verging<br />

sides straight, <strong>the</strong> surface feebly micro-reticulate, str<strong>on</strong>gly at <strong>the</strong><br />

sides, <strong>the</strong> punctures small, widely separated, even feebler and sparser<br />

laterally, without fine transverse line of opacity, <strong>the</strong> median line<br />

finely impressed in about basal half <strong>on</strong>ly; scutellum very minutely,<br />

sparsely punctulate; elytra barely more than a fourth l<strong>on</strong>ger than<br />

wide, obtuse behind, <strong>the</strong> sides parallel and just visibly arcuate <strong>the</strong>nce<br />

to <strong>the</strong> slightly rounded humeri, <strong>the</strong> punctures small, feeble, separated<br />

by three to four times <strong>the</strong>ir widths; abdomen str<strong>on</strong>gly shining, finely<br />

but str<strong>on</strong>gly, sparsely punctate, <strong>the</strong> punctures coarse and close<br />

narrowly al<strong>on</strong>g <strong>the</strong> sides and apex, <strong>the</strong> last segment (c?) with a large<br />

central pubescent area, which is str<strong>on</strong>gly, densely punctate but<br />

ra<strong>the</strong>r indefinitely limited and scarcely at all impressed. Length<br />

Form more el<strong>on</strong>gate and more evenly, in fact very evenly, oval, much more<br />

gradually pointed behind than any of <strong>the</strong> preceding, black, larger<br />

and less shining than californicus, <strong>the</strong> vestiture nearly similar, not<br />

dense, slightly variegated, pale fulvous and cinereous; prothorax very<br />

transverse as usual, <strong>the</strong> str<strong>on</strong>gly c<strong>on</strong>verging sides feebly, evenly<br />

arcuate, exactly c<strong>on</strong>tinuing <strong>the</strong> outline of <strong>the</strong> elytra, finely but<br />

str<strong>on</strong>gly, loosely punctate, ra<strong>the</strong>r less laterally,<br />

sparsely but<br />
