<strong>the</strong> summit of <strong>the</strong> bevel; eyes separated by three-fourths <strong>the</strong>ir width;<br />

prothorax more c<strong>on</strong>vex than in <strong>the</strong> o<strong>the</strong>rs of this group and with<br />

more numerous and str<strong>on</strong>ger punctures, <strong>the</strong> l<strong>on</strong>g and very slender<br />

anterior and middle teeth not or scarcely at all reflexed; scutellum<br />

large, very obtuse; elytra three-fifths l<strong>on</strong>ger than wide, a third wider<br />

than <strong>the</strong> prothorax, tapering but feebly, <strong>the</strong> apices broadly rounded,<br />

<strong>the</strong> marginal impressi<strong>on</strong> just behind <strong>the</strong> humeri unusually developed,<br />

<strong>the</strong> two inner raised lines very feeble; punctures fine and everywhere<br />

sparse; tarsi ra<strong>the</strong>r slender, <strong>the</strong> canaliculati<strong>on</strong> deep and dis-<br />

tinct <strong>on</strong> <strong>the</strong> two posterior pairs. Length (9 ) 47-O mm.; width 20.0<br />

antennae (cf ) not quite so stout basally, <strong>the</strong> last joint evenly el<strong>on</strong>gateoval,<br />

three times as l<strong>on</strong>g as wide and very much shorter than <strong>the</strong><br />

preceding, or ( 9 ) unusually slender, but feebly serrate distally,<br />

with <strong>the</strong> last joint as in <strong>the</strong> male though <strong>on</strong>ly a little more than<br />

twice as l<strong>on</strong>g as wide, unmodified <strong>on</strong> <strong>the</strong> inner face and much shorter<br />

than <strong>the</strong> preceding; prothorax nearly as in spiculosus in general<br />

form, ra<strong>the</strong>r str<strong>on</strong>gly punctate; scutellum very obtuse; elytra twothirds<br />

(cf ) to four-fifths (9 ) l<strong>on</strong>ger than wide, <strong>the</strong> punctures ra<strong>the</strong>r<br />

small and sparse but str<strong>on</strong>g and c<strong>on</strong>spicuously impressed; tarsi<br />

ra<strong>the</strong>r slender, canaliculate as in spiculosus; surface at <strong>the</strong> ends of<br />

<strong>the</strong> apical abdominal sinus (cf ) not tumid as in curvatus. Length<br />
