viewership, thereby reinforcing the <strong>Sheng</strong> <strong>Siong</strong> brand<br />
name with the consumers. Through different fairs, we<br />
brought in new product varieties and held promotions<br />
to excite customers.<br />
Our customers are our foremost priority. We will<br />
consider their needs and preferences and motivate<br />
them to keep coming back, for our brand name is<br />
synonymous with: trusted quality, competitive pricing<br />
and personalised service.<br />
Extracting more value<br />
Capitalising on excellent infrastructure at the new<br />
Mandai Link Distribution Centre, we will continue<br />
to improve our sales mix, increase direct and bulk<br />
purchasing and increase productivity by introducing new<br />
technologies and working methods. We are expanding<br />
the variety of our existing range of housebrands to<br />
sharpen our competitive edge in grocery retail.<br />

As a Group, we are delighted and thankful for the<br />
recognition conferred to us by various reputable<br />
associations in <strong>2011</strong>. We were accorded the Bronze<br />
Winner of the Retail Asia Top 500 Awards (surveyed<br />
by Euromonitor International), Superbrand Status<br />
by Superbrands Singapore, Best Small-Cap Equity<br />
Deal of FinanceAsia Achievement Awards <strong>2011</strong> and<br />
Winner of Most Transparent New Issue of Securities<br />

be pressure on costs because of oil prices, but we<br />
