Biography<br />
Scientist and administrator Julian Manly Earls holds six university degrees. Earls, a<br />
native of Portsmouth, Virginia, earned his B.S. degree in physics from Norfolk State University, his<br />
M.S. degree in radiation biology from the School of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of<br />
Rochester and his Ph.D. in radiation physics from the University of Michigan. Earls was also<br />
awarded honorary degrees by the College of Aeronautics in New York, Nova Southeastern University<br />
in Florida and North Carolina A&T State University. Earls also graduated from the Harvard<br />
Business School Program for Management Development.<br />
