Green faience.<br />

Feet <strong>and</strong> base miss<strong>in</strong>g.<br />

Poor state <strong>of</strong> preservation.<br />

Each h<strong>and</strong> holds stylised hoe. Lappet wig (not visible at back) <strong>and</strong><br />

beard. Flat back with no back pillar.<br />

S<strong>in</strong>gle column <strong>of</strong> impressed text down back, no borders.<br />

Very pale faience - almost white but with t<strong>in</strong>ge <strong>of</strong> pale green.<br />

Intact but glaze worn <strong>of</strong>f <strong>in</strong> places.<br />

Reasonable workmanship <strong>and</strong> modell<strong>in</strong>g but features lack sharpness; no<br />

f<strong>in</strong>e detail.<br />

Left h<strong>and</strong> holds pick without cross-bar, right h<strong>and</strong> a narrow hoe <strong>and</strong> basket<br />

cord. Pla<strong>in</strong> tripartite wig with b<strong>and</strong>s on ends <strong>of</strong> all three lappets; beard.<br />

Trapezoidal basket on left shoulder, the hatch<strong>in</strong>g worn away.<br />

S<strong>in</strong>gle column <strong>of</strong> impressed text down front, borders at sides.<br />
