As the Muslims were be<strong>in</strong>g systematically exterm<strong>in</strong>ated, Ch<strong>in</strong>ese<br />

were brought <strong>in</strong> to replace them <strong>in</strong> an attempt to prevent Muslims'<br />

rightful claims to their own land. Another method employed by the<br />

Mao regime, which wanted to turn <strong>East</strong> <strong>Turkestan</strong> <strong>in</strong>to a prov<strong>in</strong>ce <strong>of</strong><br />

Ch<strong>in</strong>a, was "family plann<strong>in</strong>g" by means <strong>of</strong> forced abortions. This communist<br />

brutality, which is still go<strong>in</strong>g on today, will be considered <strong>in</strong><br />
