The purchase, known as triangular trade, is performed on account of the <strong>Brazil</strong>ian<br />
importer and will be duly authorized by the Central Bank and the Foreign Trade<br />
Department – Decex, as it constitutes a financial operation without physical transit of<br />
the merchandise in <strong>Brazil</strong>.<br />
The advantages of triangular trade for the buyer are:<br />
• Logistics with reduced freight and insurance costs, as well as other expenses;<br />
• Reduction in delivery deadlines; and<br />
• Reduction in financial and exchange costs.<br />
III.9.6. Cus<strong>to</strong>ms transit<br />
The cus<strong>to</strong>ms transit special regime is one that allows the transportation of goods,<br />
under cus<strong>to</strong>ms control, from one point <strong>to</strong> another of the <strong>Brazil</strong>ian terri<strong>to</strong>ry, with tax<br />
suspension.<br />
This regime is used in the transportation of imported merchandise that has not yet<br />
been nationalized from the port, airport or border post of entry in the country <strong>to</strong> the<br />
place where cus<strong>to</strong>ms expedition will be performed.<br />
Similarly, it is applied in the transportation of merchandise exported from the site of<br />
expedition <strong>to</strong> the port, airport or border post through which it will exit the country.<br />
