The Corporate Liaison Office in Johannesburg
honoured their donors in style during a thankyou
function held at one of Johannesburg’s
oldest man sions, Northwards.
Northwards, one of the master pieces by famous
architect Sir Herbert Baker, was home to Josephine
Dale Lace, flamboyant Johannesburg socialite who
was rumoured to have been proposed to by Cecil
John Rhodes and a mistress to King Edward VII of
Gauteng

The guests who attended the function were no
doubt less ec centric, but just as well-regarded. These donors
have made an important and much valued contribution
to the university’s third-stream income of the past
few years. Many are valued friends of the university.
Top-selling author and motivational speaker Gayton
McKenzie added further charisma to the event.
