NEW PEARL ROSETTE JEWELRY During a career that spanned
six decades, Louis C. Tiffany (American, 1848–1933) embraced
virtually every artistic and decorative medium, designing and directing
his studios to produce leaded-glass windows, mosaics, lamps, glass,
pottery, metalwork, enamels, jewelry, and interiors. In 1914, Meta K.
Overbeck became head designer of his “art jewelry” department. The
design for this enchanting rosette suite is based on a drawing from a
surviving volume of her distinctive designs. Produced in cooperation
C. NEW LOUIS C. TIFFANY: PEACOCK PLAQUE Among all
of Louis C. Tiffany’s endeavors, his work in leaded glass brought him
the greatest recognition. Favrile glass was the perfect medium for
expressing his unique blending of nature and exoticism, embodied
by the peacock, a favorite subject. This luminous plaque re-creates a
favorite of the artist’s stained-glass windows. Giclée print mounted on
wood. Includes hardware for hanging. 32"H x 24"W. 80-018764 $195
